Great walks around with experience on the ferries. Could have really done some trail running there. Great view and a great place for picnic and beer in the sun. Totally worth the trip out of Berlin.
It's an boring island with not much to see. 6 euro to ride a 1 minute ferry to cross the 120 meter river distance. Would be nice if they build a bridge instead.
It's a nice trip outside of Berlin. The island is close to Wannsee train station, and there is also a bus that takes you to the ferry. The ferry costs 6€ per person for a round trip. There are sheep ride options for tourists in Wannsee from another dock that is 20-30 steps away from the ferry station.
It's the first time I've ever seen a white peacock. The information board states that they are actually white, not albinos 😅. They are friendly and walk around the tables. The nature is awesome. We saw peacocks, foxes, buffaloes, and geese. The trees, pathways, and old buildings make me feel like I'm in a very different place than Berlin.
There is a restaurant where you can buy sausages, cake, ice cream, and drinks. There is a toilet available free of charge. Unfortunately, the castle that we went to see is under construction.
Amazing place for long walks, many animals. No ticket, only 6€ boat ride back and forth, you can pay through the machine even Apple Pay😍
Cute peacocks together in one place with beautiful colours. They also have a small outdoor restaurant towards the other end and they have tables with chairs. Peacocks like to walk around those tables.
Just one thing, Due to summers or rainy days the grass was pretty tall so sitting around any corner in grass was not feasible but they have good options with benches at places
Leave a whole day to go here, so you can enjoy as much of it as possible! Lively buildings, lovely animals, what more could you ask for?
Ferry is not working today:-(
Nice park with some options for food and drink. Lovely for a walk.
